Proud Papa!

by Steve Ray on March 30, 2007

Ghiordes Knot 006.JPG

My daughter Charlotte is a design student at Eastern Michigan University here in Michigan. She had to draw a room design around a specific rug. She spent the night working on it and got an A+, but the surprise came a while later when the phone rang.

"Hello Charlotte?" said the voice on the phone. "Your drawing was submitted into the statewide competition between all the design and art schools in Michigan and your drawing won 1st prize! You are invited to a banquet dinner to be honored and to receive a check for $500."

Sorry to do the proud papa thing here, but I can't help it :-)  To see the newspaper article on the competition, click here.

Steve fielded a wide range of questions from non-Catholics . Click here to listen on Real Audio. Click here to podcast or use other options.
