"Should Catholics Attend 'Ecumenical' Bible Studies"

Steve's article Should Catholics go to Non-Denominational Bible Studies? appeared in the January 2007 issue of THIS ROCK Magazine. In the article I also recommend How To Start A Parish Bible Study. Here are a load of other Bible Study resources–click here and here.

Steve worked with Logos to remove much of the less useful Protestant material and to add helpful new Catholic material. For example, we now have the Catholic New American Bible and the Revised Standard Version-Catholic Edition and the 38-volume Early Church Fathers-Catholic edition and the Oxford University Dictionary of the Christian Church along with the Vatican-published Catholic Principles for Interpreting Scripture.

Steve I just listened to the MP3 of the show. (Well done.)
I am currently looking for a good Bible study in the evening that I can attend with my wife (a non-catholic) that would also have kid-sitting. (We live close to your area)
I have not studied enough to start one in my small parish. I am one of those CC’s with poor catechesis.
I would just like a something that presents othrodox church teachings of the bible.
She goes to CBS (non-denom) durring the day, with our daughter now.

We are also going to homeschool so I want to make sure our girl gets a good catholic view of the bible and what it says.

Also , you mentioned on the show , Which bible study group did you end up in confrotation with?
