Where’s Waldo – opps, I mean where’s Steve

SistersSm.jpgWe spent the evening with angels! Well, not really angels in the strict biblical sense, but certainly in the more popular sense. Just listen to them sing and laugh and pray; watch them glide across the floor, smile with joy, and demonstrate the love of Christ and tell me they don't sound  and appear as angels. These are the Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist.

Where's Steve and Janet? Click on the picture for a larger image.

These are not average women. These are bright, educated (many professionals), intelligent, determined women with a mission. They are a very impressive and formidable group.

Tonight Mother Assumpta Long invited Janet and I to show our new DVD "Apostolic Fathers, Handing on the Faith." It was a wonderful evening and as always it was a blessing to be with these wonderful and focused women.

They laughed and applauded and seemed to genuinely love the movie. The DVDs will be for sale late in September but I have a rough draft dub of the edit copy which I was able to show them for a Mini-World Premier. They commented on how there was nothing else like it, how full of information and fun it was, and how the blessing of God is certainly on the project.

Steve, Congratulations on your visit with the Nashville Dominican Sisters. These brides of Christ, like Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, are jewels in the Master's crown and are a far greater testimony to the truth of Catholicism than any of us can muster. Has 'sola scriptura' ever produced women like these (no, they'd have to splinter into thirty-three thousand congregations)? All we really need to do, when debating with haters like James White is point to these sisters as resounding proof of the reliability and trustworthiness of Catholic doctrine.

Steve Ray here: Thanks so much Mark! I agree with you completely. One thing, these sisters were once associated with the Nashville Dominicans, but Mother Assumpta started a new group up here in Ann Arbor Michigan. They went from 5 sisters to over 70 in 8 years. They are now setting up locations in Phoenix and Florida.

I can find you some where in the middle … :-)
They have made a choice that seems impossible to the world. To become Eunuch for the sake of the Kingdom.
They surely have their reward in Shamayim ( ie. to say Heaven in Hebrew ) if they endure to the end.
Keep the faith burning.
