Eucharistic Congress in Charlotte North Carolina – What a Blast!

by Steve Ray on September 22, 2007

I was very proud to be a speaker at the Eucharistic Congress in Charlotte North Carolina. I have never been part of such an event and I was not the only one moved to tears. I comment Bishop Jugis for his leadership and faithful promotion of the Catholic faith. He is to be praised and commended. He stood out with great leadership and courage and I encourage ALL of his faithful to write to him and thank him for being a great bishop!!

Steve, your talk on the Eucharist was moving and inspiring as all your talks are. Thank you for blessing us by coming to Charlotte to be part of this great Congress. Charlotte is truly blessed to have such a great Bishop and priests. I think that we were expecting 10,000 people but at Mass on Saturday it looked like even more than that – maybe 15,000. I’m anxious to see the “official” count.
And thanks, too, Steve, for the wonderful Acts study. I’m getting great feedback from CSS members about it.

Steve, Thanks for filming this. Wish that I could’ve been there with you and Gail. I would really like to see this this happening more throughout the U.S. and the world. Keep up the good work!!

Nice! I was there too, as a student from Belmont Abbey College. To of the guys I went with were helping to carry the canopy, and a third carried the Archbishop’s mitre. Unfortunately were didn’t get to hear you speak, as we were busy hunting the Bishop to give him the t-shirt we made for the Bishop Peter Jugis Fan Club :-D
