Update on Teresa Tomeo Pilgrimage

by Steve Ray on March 16, 2009

We are doing great and the pilgrims are all having a wonderful time. Now that Teresa has joined us it has certainly kicked it up a notch!

100_9407smToday we took a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, had Mass at Peter’s House in Capernaum and visited the place of the multiplication of loaves and fish. We ate the same fish Jesus ate for lunch. I gave my talk on Defending the Eucharist at the Synagague where Jesus said “Eat My Flesh; Drink My Blood.”

Click on picture for larger image. It was taken inside the synagogue in Capernaum where Jesus taught about the Eucharist.

Then we drove to Jerusalem and stopped at the House of Elizabeth to pray at the place of the Visitation. I gave my talk on Mary and the Ark of the New Covenant. I also gave my conversion story along the way and Fr. Bill gave his incredible vocation story.

I am way too tired to make a video tonight and have to go to sleep. We get up at 5 AM in the morning to have Mass on the top of Calvary. The pilgrims will touch the place where the Blood of Jesus dripped on the ground after Mass. Then we will go to Bethlehem. More soon.

Since we are in the Land of Abraham…

UrMusic.jpg…we thought you might like to hear the music from his time!

Our next DVD in the Footprints of God series will be entitled “Abraham, Father of Faith & Works.” We will begin filming in Iraq — in Ur of Chaldees — which is the home of Abraham, just south of Baghdad (Gen 11:28-31). We plan to have it released September 2010.

Thanks to the Biblical Archaeology Society to which I subscribe, we can now listen to music that Abraham listened to.

Click here to listen to The Music of Ur, a musical duet featuring a lyre and double pipes such as those found at the ancient city of Ur. Click here to read the the article in Archaeology review.

Enjoy! And you will hear this kind of music on our next Footprints of God DVD.
