Gay advocates angry at Obama’s ambiguity on Defense of Marriage Act
http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=3811
“Gay-rights advocates expressed disappointment after President Barack Obama’s administration decided to defend the Defense of Marriage Act as it undergoes a legal challenge. President Obama, who called for the repeal the law, which he believes is discriminatory, noted that the Department of Justice traditionally defends federal statutes under legal challenge.”
Ambiguity is part of Obama’s persona — he talks out of both sides of his mouth depending on which way the wind is blowing. Since when has he cared about defending federal statutes? He has been all for radically changing and challenging anything that’s not radically Leftist. So, why defend the Marriage Act now? Go out and see which way the wind is blowing and you’ll know why.
