On our way to England; Pray for us

by Steve Ray on July 31, 2011

Janet and I are boarding our plane to London. I have eleven talks to give at three conferences.

All the conferences are working to re-convert the United Kingdom back to the Catholic Church.

We will be renting a car with the steering wheel on the passenger side and driving on the wrong side of the road – for that Janet REALLY asks for your prayers :-)

We will keep you updated as the two weeks progress.

IMG_3217Most Rock n’ Rollers end up badly in old age, if they ever get to old age.

I spent time again with one this weekend that has a done very well – Dion DiMucci of the Dion and Belmonts from the late 50’s and early 60’s – and beyond. He is famous for Run Around Sue, Donna the Prima Dona, Abraham Martin and John, I Wonder Why, The Wanderer — and over a dozen songs that hit the t\Top 40 List!

He is still great, right at it, and loved by millions. He is a great guy with a a great wife. In 1989 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This is a picture with me taken at Steubenville this weekend with Dion. He was there to announce his new book and to tell the story of his life, especially his return to the Catholic Church.

Wikipedia states, “Now a practicing Roman Catholic, Dion pursues prison ministry and reaches out to men going through addiction recovery. He is also a member of the American Board of Directors of Renewal Ministries. He lives in Boca Raton, Florida, and New York City.”

You can visit his website here.

Jerusalem | Filmed in Imax 3D from JerusalemGiantScreen on Vimeo.

After a year of research and preparation, the giant screen film JERUSALEM advanced into production with an unprecedented aerial shoot throughout Israel and the West Bank. Scheduled for worldwide release in 2013, the film will take audiences on a spectacular tour of the Holy Land and the city once believed to lie at the centre of the world.

Visit all these places with us — from a distinctly Catholic perspective.
